Noe that PJ can sport some precious pig tails I put her hair up a lot more.  Chris says she looks like Harry from Dumb and Dumber when I take them down. Ha!  It reminds me of when Ryan had the bowl haircut and looked like Lloyd!

4 inches gone!

I decided to get a substantial haircut.  I have had very long hair for a very long time.  I usually just get a trim twice a year, but I decided to change it up a bit.  I know it is still "long" but it feels so much shorter to me.  Now Ryan has the longest hair in the family!  She has always wanted to hold that title!

Lunch with my kindergartner

I got to have lunch with Emma and she requested that I bring her pho. We had a fun time eating together and I dropped off pho for Ryan too.  She prefers not to see us because it makes her sad, so I left hers on her lunch table before she got to the cafeteria.  Proud of both of my girls for making it through the first week, especially coming off a long vacation.  Emma decided she didn't want to go on Thursday, but Mamaw took her to the principal, Mrs. Schweig, to ask if she had to go and when she told her she did, she went on to class.

All of a sudden Polly is less baby and more toddler. She is the cutest!

The even years......

2 kids in elementary! I can't believe it.  Emma was so ready and so excited.  The only concern she had was that someone might eat a banana near her.  She is still so repulsed by bananas. Ryan was excited for second grade and had high hopes for a better teacher.

Ryan's Special Date with UncUnc

For Ryan's birthday present Unc Unc got her a ticket to go see the musical The Sound of Music.  We made it back from Florida just in time for their special date.

Destin Summer 2016

What a trip we had! 5 families all together in Destin! 10 adults and 11 kids.  Non stop action, for sure.  We enjoyed another fun week in Destin, Florida with some of our closest friends to wrap up summer 2016.  We had a beautiful 8 bedroom house on the beach and enjoyed a ton of beach volleyball, puzzling, crab hunting, swimming, boogie boarding, tanning, eating, drinking and laughing. Even though getting to and from can be a bit painful it is always worth it.  Here are the pictures to tell the story of our week.

We drove half way to Vicksburg, where we enjoyed free happy hour and pool.
Our only hiccup on the first leg was that Ryan got carsick an hour in and threw up.

She was not feeling well and we discovered later she was running a fever.
