At barely two years old we were not sure if Polly was ready for Miss Suzy's swim lessons. She takes kids ages 2.5 and older but when I asked her about Polly she told me we could give it a shot. I was very anxious and unsure if Polly would be able to do it. I knew she would cry at drop off, and she did the first week, but by the second week she went without tears and did so well. One day she didn't earn a sucker but the other 7 days she did. She learned a lot and now loves going under the water and swimming. I think we will have her waterproofed after next years lessons.

Indoor season with Texans
We are very proud of Emma's first indoor season with the Texan's. She played on both the 2011 and up on the 2011 team. She has learned a lot and really had fun.

Basketball!
As indoor summer soccer season wraps up, Emma is ready to start her first season of basketball. I am head coach and excited for our season.
Summer Workouts
Elise and I have been hitting it hard this summer and making it to 5:15 a.m CG work outs to beat the heat. It is so fun to ride together and motivate each other "dark and early".

REK VIP style at Levitt
Thanks to BOSHA we got to go see Robert Earl Keen at the Levitt Pavillion. We got VIP passes that included all you can eat BBQ, alcohol and we got front row reserved seats! It was a great time with good friends.
Camp Thurman 2017
The girls had another fantastic week at Camp Thurman. Ryan's 4th time and Emma's 3rd time. I think this was their best year yet. Emma had a bunch of friends in her group, Ryan had none. I was a little bit nervous because Ryan usually knows at least one friend, so when I left her on the first day sitting alone I was worried about her. I picked them up the first day and they were all smiles and giggles. Ryan told me she made 3 new friends and that she loves her counselor. The rest of the week went just as well as the first day. We love Camp Thurman! I have already signed the girls up for next year.

"suit"
Polly has decided that she only wants to wear her swimsuit. Every day. And night. She calls it her "suit" and demands to put it back on after her bath every night. Cracks me up!

Taking a nap at Mamaw's in a big girl bed! Also, in her "suit". |
Waking up after nap. So pretty. |

Father's Day 2017
Chris had to work on Father's Day so the girls and I invited Pa (and Mamaw) to HF to enjoy the day. The girls loved having their grandparents there and showing Pa all the rides. They had dared him to ride the Torpedo, but he lucked out and it was closed for maintenance. I guess that means we will have to bring him back again! Happy Father's Day, Dad!

Mad Mike's
After a fun but hot day at HF, followed by more swimming and burgers at the Elks, we decided we needed some good ice cream to end our fun day..
Hawaiian Falls!
We got season passes this year and we plan to spend a lot of time here! We also got a bunch of buddy passes so Beth and the boys joined us for a fun day. The kids have done every ride except the Torpedo. I have a feeling they will get the guts to do it before the summer is over.
We took this same picture last summer. They have all grown a lot! |

Night Away
Chris and I got to get away for a night to attend the 25th anniversary of the Texas TASK force. We drove down to College Station for the night and had a great time at the dinner and slept like babies at the hotel! Thank you to Gran for staying overnight with our girls.
We stopped at George's for lunch and a beer. |
I am so proud of Chris for being a part of the TASK force. |
