80 degree weather, the park and Stetson!

You can't beat 80 degree weather in February!  The girls and I went straight from library story time to the park.  Our good friend Stetson joined us.  It was a perfect day!

My bus drivers!

Ry was thrilled to see Stetson!

Bye bye baby mullet

I decided Emma's hair needed a trim.  At least the two long strands did!  I didn't see any point in paying money for two snips, so I took a deep breath and did it myself.  I have never cut any one's hair!  I think I cut about 100 of Emma's!  Somehow my two snips ended up being even.  Exhale. Now, it is all the same length (relatively) and it can grow and grow and grow.  All without resembling a mullet!
What I cut off.
I tied both pieces with a ribbon and sealed them in an envelope.
Pea's first trim.
She had no idea I even cut her hair!

Makeshift

After I bragged about how great of a sleeper Emma is she has been giving us a run for our money!  Once she falls asleep she is out like a light for 11-12 hours, but the past few nights she has started to creep at bedtime!  She opens up her door and goes wherever she pleases.  We have found her in the bathroom, playing in Ryan's room, tiptoeing down the hallway and even in the kitchen!  Kinda creepy! So, we had to make a few modifications to her door.
I took this picture laying on Ryan's trundle bed in the dark.
I was laying with Ryan saying our prayers when this secret shopper busted in!
Ryan thought it was hilarious and joined her sister!
It was a C shift and I don't have any Boy Scout skills,
so it took me awhile to get them calmed down and in their own beds.
On A shift, my boy scout fixed our problem.
Don't call CPS!  It was a temporary fix.
We now have a door knob that locks from the outside.
No more creeping!
(I did find her asleep on her floor after nap time once).

Book Worm

Like mother, like daughter!

"Feliz Navidad, Bunny"

That is what I/Chris/Mamaw/whoever puts Ryan to bed at night ends up saying.
Yes, we are wishing Bunny a Merry Christmas in Spanish!  Yes we know it is February!
Why do we do this?  Because Ryan asks us to!
Ryan likes for us to lay on her trundle bed while she falls asleep at night. She will goof off for awhile and then right before she gets ready to fall asleep she has a verbal script that she likes to follow.  Here is how it goes.

"Goodnight, Mommy."
"Goodnight, Ryan."
"Say goodnight to Bunny."
"Goodnight, Bunny."
"I love you, Mommy."
"I love you too, Ryan."
"Say you love Bunny."
"I love you, Bunny."
"Feliz Navidad, Mommy."
"Feliz Navidad, Ryan."
"Say Feliz Navidad to Bunny."
"Feliz Navidad, Bunny."

I laugh out loud at myself every time!
