Super annoying noise

For the past two months Ryan has been making the most annoying noise. It's hard to describe it in a way that really gives the annoyance justice. It's almost like a loud gasp. She says she is "itching her throat". She will do it over and over again. She seems to do it mostly at home, especially when watching t.v. and when going to sleep. We aren't sure if it's behavioral or some sort of allergy symptom. Either way, it truly is the most annoying noise ever. It does seem like the more we tell her to stop making it the more she does it, which leads me to believe it is behavioral. I was reminded by Roxie of the annoying stutter she used to do. It also became worse the more we acknowledged it. Thankfully, that was a phase and it went away. I am hoping this habit/problem resolves itself quickly. It is starting to really send Chris off the deep end! Some days I get home from work and he is cooking dinner with headphones on so that he doesn't have to hear it!
