Bye Bye Circle!

Emma has always asked Chris to shave his "circle" as she calls it. He refers to it as his peninsula of hair at the front.  So, he surprised her and picked her up from school in a hat and took it off at home to reveal the circle gone!  She screamed and we laughed and laughed.  Then, he took a little more off and finally shaved it all!

Circle gone!

He looks like Mr. Burns from the Simpsons!

Meatgatta 2018

Our across the canal neighbors, the Porras', threw their annual Meatgatta party.  It is getting bigger and bigger each year.  Chris designed us an awesome boat this year and we took 2nd place!  Much better than last year when we never made it past the start.  We had a lot of fun with all of our good friends.

Team Poison Ivie

The Jackson's big ol' boat.

USS Deller
They raced the same boat that won last year!

Staging area at the start.

Starting line.

"GO!!!!"
I let Emma ride with me, which is probably why we didn't get first!

Carey Invitational Champions!

Emma and her team dominated the Carey Invitational!  Emma got 2 hat tricks and her team never got scored on the entire tournament.  We are so proud!

Helping me cheer!

Halftime show by tired Polly

Dallas Texans South '10, '11, '12.
These girls are on fire!  All 3 teams won first place.

Emma said Coach Robie told her she is awesome.
I agree!

Mothers Day 2018

We spent Mothers Day watching Emma and her Texans team sweep another tournament.
I loved every second of watching her play.
I also got a foot rub!

I missed our first game when I was in Turks, but the girls won then and they won again today!
Go Mavs!

Sweetest group of girls!

Ryan's Spring Piano Recital

We are so proud of Ryan!  She performed three pieces at the spring recital.  She performed a solo, a duet and an ensemble.  As Mrs. Goodyear stated, "Ryan was the glue"!  She was the only child who performed three pieces and she didn't miss a beat and remained poised and confident the entire recital. She is really getting good and her teacher makes a point to tell me how proud of Ryan she is.  Her hard work pays off!
