"So.....I will have to take my panties off?"

Ryan just asked me for an explanation on the different ways a baby can get out of the mommy. She is in awe of my C-section scar and also very relieved that there are other options as to how a baby will enter the world besides "the doctor cutting the baby out". I tried my best to explain the other way to her and she looked at me with big eyes and then asked "so, I will have to take my panties off?", followed by lots of giggles! I love having girls! I also think she may prefer the cutting option if it means she can keep her panties on!

Camp Thurman

Ryan had a great second year at Camp Thurman.  She was very proud of herself for hiking to the top of thee big rock and for doing the Tarzan swing.  We can't wait for Emma to get to go too next summer.
She was a little nervous the first day, but did fine at drop off.

Happy birthday to Papa!

The whole Ivie side of the family (minus Bethany) got together for dinner to celebrate Papa's birthday. It was fun to all be together, although we did miss Aunt Bethany.

Making Memories with M&P

Sweet Mamaw wrote this special card to the girls thanking them for all of the fun they had while we were in Mexico.  I love that it includes all of the activities that they did together. Such fun! I know these are memories that my girls will have forever, I am so thankful for these relationships.

Celebrating Mamaw early!

Mamaw and Pa are gone to Europe for 3 weeks to celebrate their 44th wedding anniversary.  Since they will be gone during Mamaw's birthday we celebrated early.  Happy birthday to the best Mamaw EVER!

Charley visits!

Olivia, Dave and sweet "baby Charley" (as my girls call her) came and spent a few days with us. It was great to hang out, eat out, catch up and swim together.  The girls adore Charley and she had a good time playing in the girls old bouncy horse. Pa and Mamaw also got to enjoy some time with the Huters.  We hope they visit again soon!

Indoor soccer game 1

The girls had their first indoor soccer game, and they did great! We are team Thunder again and with all of our same friends.  Jeff is head coach and Brad and Chris are assistant coaches this go round.  The kids had a blast!  They both ran so hard and even got a few good kicks in.  Ryan stopped three goals when she was goalie!  It confused Emma though, because the next quarter she kept picking up the ball with her hands like Ryan had as goalie. Despite that, Thunder won!  Cohen had 3 goals!  We are excited to watch them all get better this summer.

5 year anniversary trip to Mexico!

We planned a last minute getaway trip to Playa del Carmen!  We had so much fun last summer we wanted to go back.  In a few weeks we will celebrate 5 years of marriage, so we decided we needed a vacation to celebrate.  We had so much fun! And, our friends, The Tharps, surprised us at the airport and joined us in paradise.  It was wonderful!
SO excited to be on our way!
Best surprise ever! We had no idea.

First rita!
Cheers!
