Emma's Media Fair Award Ceremony

We had received the letter that Emma won (and confirmed with Mrs. Hoelscher that it was indeed Emma!), but we had no idea how big this awards ceremony was until we got there.  It was for all of AISD! Emma's group won second place for all of AISD kindergarten in the video category.  The short video that she and her 4 classmates made was being shown and she was over the moon excited and proud.  Mrs. Hoelscher was too. It was very cute to watch.  She walked up on stage when they called her name with such confidence.  We are very proud of her!
About to see her project!

It was a cute movie about penguins.
The kids designed the pictures and did the voice overs.

Mrs. Hoelscher was so proud of her kids! We love her so much!

Emma's biggest fans watching the ceremony.

Best teacher! Look how excited Emma is when they recognized Mrs. H!

The slide that Emma read.

She was so excited that her slide was chosen for the
big montage of all the work K-12!

Gosh, I love this kid!

A few of my favorite pics of Emma from the past few weeks.
A friend sent me this picture of Emma at her kinder field trip to the zoo.
She wore her hat and sunglasses the entire time!

So proud of her!

Easter Weekend 2017

We had another fun Easter!  Chris was off for the Pantego Egg Hunt but had to work Sunday.  Polly is mobile on 2 feet this year so she got to really hunt for eggs. The Easter Bunny came and the girls and I got dressed up in our Easter best and went to church with Mamaw.  It was a good weekend!
Emma at her kinder egg hunt.

Mamaw, Pa and Polly were there to cheer her on.
Such a gift to have such involved grandparents to support our girls!

Arriving 10 minutes early was tough on PJ, she wanted to hunt!

So is Emma!

GO!

Nice job, Emma!

Way to go, Ryan!

Poor Polly!

Ditto for Emma

Emma AND Ryan (surprisingly) decided to enter the sack race.

Emma got first place and Ryan finished third.
Unfortunately only first and second place got the prize.
Ryan was upset, but Emma shared her prize basket and
Pa gave her $2 for being so brave and competing.

Saturday afternoon we met our crew of friends at Viridian to play sand volleyball.
Polly was a little clingy so Chris and I had to take turns playing and snuggling her.

The Easter Bunny came!

At church with Mamaw.

Polly would not cooperate for a picture with Mamaw!

Mamaw got this one of me with my girls.  Love them so much!

We finished off Easter Sunday with a bike and scooter ride to the park to play.
Great holiday weekend!
