Memorial Day

We got Hawaiian Falls season passes this year and decided to go on Memorial Day.  I was excited to take Polly there since last summer she wasn't walking.  I knew this summer she would have a ton of fun.  It ended up not being crowded at all and we got to do lots of rides.  The girls loved it.  We can't wait to go back!

Polly wore her "glasses" for an hour before we even got to HF.
They were all fogged up.

Meatgatta 2017

The Porras family hosted the second annual "Meat Extravaganza" but this year they added a twist and called it the "Meatgatta" and included a cardboard regatta race on the canal.  It was so much fun!  Chris designed our boat out of the Vote Yes signs and although his boat looked the best it was impossible to balance in! We never made it out of the start!  It was so fun to have so many friends participate and the Deller's boat won the race!  Emma was very disapointed that we didn't win- we will have to do better next year.
Chris in his vessel- it looked promising!

Ryan's Second Grade Awards

Ryan has had a great year in second grade.  Soooooo much better than her first grade experience. We are very proud of her.  Her confidence has increased and she is back to liking school again. She did very well in second grade and was in the high level reading and writing group. She worked hard to complete the Caldecott reading challenge and she finished all 80 books! I can't believe she will be in third grade next year.  She is almost halfway through elementary school!  Wow!

Bye Bye, Emma!

Pollyanna misses her sisters so much when they are at school.  She will be so happy to have them home with her this summer.

Emma's Kindergarten Awards

We are so proud of Emma! She has knocked kindergarten out of the park! She had a great first year of elementary school.  I know we owe a lot of that to Mrs. Hoelscher.  We recently found out that this is her last year at Hill and I am so glad that Emma was able to have her as a teacher.  We adore her. We enjoyed attending Emma's award ceremony where she got every award except perfect attendance.  She is such a good and fun kid!
Waiting to go up on stage and get her awards.
Mrs. Hoelscher announced that Emma wants to become an engineer so she can build things.

Big girl!

Watching the kinder slide show with Mrs. Hoelscher,
who was having trouble keeping it together.

2023 seems so far away, but I know it will be here soon!

Mrs. Hoelscher is the BEST!
