Feels GREAT to be EIGHT!

I celebrated a REAL birthday this year! I have been alive for 32 years, but since I was born on lap year, I had my 8th "real" birthday this year. Chris planned a surprise dinner for me at Bolsa with some of my closest friends. It was wonderful! I have a super awesome husband!
A handful of friends and my parents had already left, but here is a picture
of a few of the friends who helped me celebrate. I got a hat from the waiter!

Munch sang to me and dipped her fingers in the cake earlier in the day.

Beauty Shop

Ryan has been having me braid her hair after her bath.

And last night she decided she wanted every hair clip and "pony"

in her hair all at once.

Emma waited patiently for Ryan to drop one so she could put it in her mouth. She handed me one after another with inpatient commands to "put another in".
Daddy took over while I put Emma to bed.

She is pretty crazy about her stylist!
I counted over 30!

And then, suddenly out of nowhere she yelled out "Off!"

Cowtown 10K 2012

Another race in the books! Chris, Tae, a bunch of firemen buddies and I ran in the Cowtown 10K. It is one of my favorite runs to do and I didn't get to run it last year because I was in the hospital. This year I was thrilled to be healthy and out there running! I even got my best 10K time. 51:00! Not too bad for an almost 32 year old. I guess the increased running I have been doing the past 2 months has made a difference. Tae has convinced me to run a half marathon with her in 4 weeks. I am not so sure I will be ready for 13.1 miles, but I am gonna give it my all!

February 23 and 80 degrees in Arlington!

Emma was so happy to put on her sundress and go outside!
So was the Munch!
Joy!

She climbs up and stands on everything!

Ryan napped with and brought both bunnies to the park.

Maybe there is hope!
I can barely keep up with them!
Ry kept saying "the sun feels wonderful!"

Ryan sent her bunnies down the slide and Emma quickly scooped them up.

She had possession for about 10 seconds.
Pebble buffet for Emma on the slide.

She ate about a 100!
And chased the rocks with handfuls of dirt!

Looking for Daddy to drive up.

"There's he is!" yelled Ryan.

I turned around for a second!

I know I am biased, but dang this is a pretty little girl!

Great day!

A few more pics from the NEW Place at Perrys!

A professional photographer took a few pictures of our family at the event. It is not often that we are all together, other than holidays, so I had to post them. We missed Chris and Claudya!

And a good ol' IPhone pic from Dustin's phone of the four look-a-likes!

A Year Ago.....

This time a year ago I was so very sick. I am so thankful that those dark weeks in the hospital seem so distant. There were a few days that I could barely stand up. Just a year later and I am in the best health of my life, planning to run a half marathon next month. I thank God every day for my health and the health of my kids. God is good. We should never take our health for granted.

Shower Sisters

Ryan loves to take showers with me and she often stays in after I get out. This evening Emma decided she wanted to join Ry and she hopped right in with her diaper on before I could stop her. I intervened and took the diaper off. Emma hopped right back in and the girls had a ball. Lots of splashing and giggling!

Munch asking for her sissy to get back in the shower.

Emma was cracking up!

"Ok Mom, give us a little privacy!"

Silly monkeys!

ATX and Fredericksburg

We made a weekend trip to Austin and Fredericksburg to relax, visit friends and attend Christy's wedding. It was a fun filled weekend, despite the rainy weather. Christy was a beautiful bride and we were so glad to be a part of the celebration!

We stopped in Austin for a quick happy hour with some of my best girlfriends!
Liv met up for a quick drink before we had to head out in the rain.

After I attended the bridesmaid luncheon, Chris, Kevin, Becca and I visited my favorite winery- Chisholm Trails Winery. We had a wonderful afternoon visiting with one of the owners. We ate, drank and listened to music on Pandora. Lots of laughs were involved!

The cat (CJ), the dog (Pickup) and the bird (Rainbow) that I loved are no longer hanging out in

the winery. Now, that the winery has a pizzeria in it they can't have animals inside. Unfortunately CJ and Pickup are no longer alive, but I was happy to learn that Rainbow lives with one of the staff. Even though there were no animals for me to love on inside I did get to pet the miniature donkey!

Tory and Christy Virdell!

Father and daughter dance gets me every time!

SO happy for my friend!

My handsome date!

Chris, Kevin and I got to listen to some awesome live music at a bar after the wedding.

Missing our girls, but having fun together!
