"No" now means yes

Emma's favorite word used to be "okay" and she said it to everything.  The way she said it was precious.  I miss that sweet word.  These days she says "no" to everything.  Including things she means to say yes to.  Like if I ask her if she wants a treat.  She will say "no" as she grabs it from my hand.  This is definitely a sign that two is right around the corner!

Missing Molly

2000
This picture was when Molly and Toot were less than a year old.
This morning while we were getting ready for church Ryan was sitting on our bed looking through the pages of Chris' Bible.  I asked her what the Bible was about and we started to talk about Jesus and what she has learned about Jesus at school.  During our conversation Ryan out of the blue said "Molly is in heaven with Jesus.  I miss Molly, Mommy.  One day we will see her when we see Jesus."  I felt happy, sad and proud all at the same time. I have been missing Molly a lot lately.  I still cry when I think about her and what a sweet cat she was. And, I still feel sick to my stomach when I think about what happened to her.   It has been a little over a year but she is still so missed by all of us, especially Toot.

iPhone Fun

Ryan loves to take pictures with my iPhone where she can see herself in the screen.  Here are a few from her last photo shoot.
Scared faces

Ry Pie's toes

We have a creeper.

My cuties!

Emma wanted one without Ryan.

I am wearing some glasses that Ryan made at school.

Goofy face
Ryan loves when I cross my eyes!

10 miles!

We completed our last long run in our training for our half marathon! We did 10 miles in the rain. We got soaked, but it was fun.  Our race is in one week!  I am so pumped to go to California!

Fun in the rain!

We had some good rain all day Saturday. The girls decided they wanted to put on their rain gear and go out front with Dad to splash around!

Ryan was so excited she willingly
put on her rain jacket! This is not the norm!

Pea doesn't have a raincoat so she rocked her
rain boots with a hoodie and showed off her long legs!

Chihuly at the Dallas Arboretum

After we completed our last 10K we got four free tickets to see the Chihuly exhibit at the Dallas Arboretum.  Since 3 and under are free we invited the Wimberlys to join us.  We had a picnic on the lawn and walked around the gardens admiring the artwork and the pumpkins.  The weather was perfect and the kids had a great time!

Emma was drawn to all of the water.

Sweet Pea

Ry Pie picked out her tutu for the evening!

She brought both bunnies too!

Cheers to the Wimberlys!

Precious Paxton

Sweet, smiley guy!

Ashlyn was a Chihuly fan!

Ryan sat and admired baby Paxton for a good 10 minutes!

Ashlyn didn't come to eat and drink-
she was ready to see the exhibit!

Picnic on the lawn!
Chance and Kristi picked up BBQ for us.

First attempt at a group picture.

It is impossible to get my girls to look at the camera at the same time.

Pretty girls

Finally we get to walk!

Another fan of the water!

Ryan was barefoot all evening
and liked dipping her toes in!

I loved this one.

Adorable!

Ash found the pumpkins!

Ash and Em

I had to put Emma on my shoulders to take a break from chasing her!

The highlight for Ryan was Cinderella's carriage!

Our princesses

Another failed attempt at a group picture in the carriage!

Prince Paxton snoozing!

Ash was ready to pose, my girls were not!

Both moms and all kids are all in this picture,
just not looking at the camera!
