Back to Back to Back CHAMPIONS!

My girls won the championship again!  I am so proud of how they played all season.  We got a few new players and were missing a few of our normal ones.  They moved up to a 10 foot goal, were able to steal and learned a zone defense.  They really dominated this season, and were one of the youngest teams in this league.  Emma scored the most points, got the most steals, and was a true leader on the court!

Blessing Belle

Covid ruined graduation traditions for the class of 2020 and it is definitely changing some for the class of 2021.  We got to adopt a senior to bless this year and we got Belle Salyer!  She is a soccer player and the daughter of Coach Hanes, the PE coach at Hill.  It was fun to gift her all her favorites and congratulate her on her upcoming graduation!  She was so surprised.

EPIC Freeze of 2021

After the pretty snow came temperatures that continued to be at record lows and Texas saw colder weather than we have in 100 years!  The canal completely froze over!  People were out of power and water and my hospital was even shut down.  The kids were out of school for almost 2 weeks! It was insane!  Thankfully, we never lost power and only had 2 pipes freeze (but not bust).  We were very fortunate.  Here are some pics from the crazy, cold week.

We kept Stache inside for 5 days.

Clark tested the ice on the canal!

The dogs loved playing in the snow.

Erin and I moved our runs indoors!
The Subaru got us there safely on the ice!

Ryan caught up on sleep.

Chris figured out a clever way to thaw our frozen
master bath pipes in the attic.

Levi loved the extra snuggles during the day.

More snow!

They became buddies and slept on Emma's bed together most days.

Chris had a few of the roughest shifts of his 20 year career.

Snow and Valentines Day!

We had a super cold Valentines that brought in snow and freezing temperatures!

Our neighbors fountain frozen!

The line to buy food was so long as people  prepared
for the cold weather.

Chris got the dogs Valentines outfits.

Levi got a Valentines house

Snuggling and sleeping in since
 all soccer was cancelled.

After Stache went missing for 24 hours we brought
him in to make sure he was okay and out of the cold.

We met at the park for sledding!

Polly was at Mamaw's

Defrosting with Clark!

So pretty.

Emma made Valentines for everyone.
