Halloween 2019

Time doesn't stop when a death occurs.  Even though we were all heartbroken we knew the kids deserved to have Halloween and trick-or-treat.  Delilah and Ivy were in town, too. So, we got to trick-or-treat with cousins.

TERRIBLE 24 HOURS

All within the same 24 hours Chris' grandmother (Peg's mom), Grandma Glenna (little grandma as the girls called her) had a heart attack and passed away and we lost Uncle Zach.  Peg, Steve, CHris, Bethany and Meredith were by his bedside when he took his last breath. Unimaginable pain for our family.  Both will be so missed.

Chris saying goodbye.

Watching Peg say goodbye to her son was both gut wrenching
and so beautiful.  She is the strongest mom I know.

All 3 girls were excellent while at the hospital
and they each got to say goodbye to Uncle Zach.
Polly even caught herself a nap in the ICU waiting room.

No Fear Emma

Emma went to a haunted house with a group of 5th grade boys.
She led the way and was the bravest.  Some of the boys were crying!
Not Emma!

Church!

It has been hard to make it to church often with Emma's
busy soccer schedule.  I had to document us going!
Chris was on shift.

Praying for Uncle Zach

Uncle Zach has been battling some serious pneumonia and sepsis and has been in the hospital for almost a month.  We took the girls up to ICU to spend some time with him.

Praying outside the ICU.

time with him in the ICU.

Mexican Hat Dance

Emma volunteered to perform the Mexican Hat Dance with a shy friend for the Multicultural Showcase.  She loved it and stole the show!
