Happy 65th Pa!

Poor Dad spent his actual birthday babysitting  me and the kids while Chris worked. I was in a lot of pain so he pretty much did everything.  He also made two trips to the airport to pick up mom and Uncle and Aunt Mis. He is such a great guy that he didn't mind at all. We love him so much!

We did a re-do on Memorial Day with Chris and Mom!
These girls adore their Pa. Ryan says "he is my favorite person in the whole wide world!"

Shoulder surgery

I have been having some serious left shoulder pain for the past 4 months.  I tried rest, exercising, manual therapy, dry needling and injections and nothing helped.  I saw one of the surgeons I work for, Dr, Pond, and he x-rayed it and offered me an operation to fix the AC joint arthritis if the injection didn't help.  So, after the injection did nothing I decided to get the surgery.  I had a distal clavicle excision and hope to soon be pain free and back to push ups and burpees!  I will have a few rough weeks, being unable to pick up Polly and do my job.  Hoping for fast healing and no more shoulder pain!

Big bandage and a sling.
Gran, Emma and Ryan got me flowers.
Day 2 was painful, thank goodness for drugs and ice machines!
I got to take the bandage down on Day 3.
Emma got super frreaked and said I looked like Frankenstein!

One more hug

Polly decided she needed one more hug and one more cheesy grin at bedtime.
Excuse my greasy, night cream covered face!

Daisy to Brownie!

Ryan and her sweet troop got promoted from Daisy to Brownie.  We had a cute little ceremony at Jillian's house. This is a great group of girls!

Ali Graduates!

So happy that we got to watch Ali graduate from St. Stephens Episcopal School in Austin.  We had to leave right at the end of the ceremony so we didn't get to take a picture with her. I am so proud of her.  I have known her since she was 18 months old and I used to babysit her once a week for many years. Her graduating definitely makes me feel old.  I cannot wait to see what she does next!  She is off to Washington State in the fall to study Chemical Engineering.

Austin for the night, one tooth short!

We made a quick 20 hour trip down to Austin to watch Ali Michel graduate from St. Stephens.  Ryan had a super lose front tooth (a little boy knocked into her and loosened it last week). We tried to get her to pull it before our road trip but she wouldn't do it.  Thankfully, we got it out on the patio of Sam's Boat in Austin.
Relaxing in the hotel bed before heading to Sams Boat for a snack (beer).

Her tooth was disgusting.

so cute.

PJ is as sweet as her donut leggings.
Right after Chris got it out.
There ended up being quite a bit of bleeding. Made me feel sick.
She was very happy and proud to have it out.
Cutest snaggle-toothed kid I have ever seen!
