My 40th Birthday!

I am not sure how I am 40, but I am!  Years just seem to go by faster and faster.  What a decade I have had.  my 30's have been my favorite so far, so I am excited about my 40's.  I definitely feel like they will be even better.  I got a lot of love for my birthday from co-workers, family and friends.  It was a nice long weekend!  It was also a leap year, so I am officially in my double digits!

Emma's First Yellow Card

It was bound to happen, eventually.  My aggressive girl got her first yellow card.  Emma was going head to head with a player that was also physical and after a few fouls the ref gave Emma her first card (the other player got a yellow card soon after Emma did).  She deserved it and I love that she plays so physical, she just has to know when to reel it in.  Texans won 4-2 in the end and Emma played a great game. I had to get a picture of her with the ref after.  He told her he was sorry he had to pull the card and that he loved how aggressive and skilled she plays. I have to admit this was my favorite "card" on my birthday.

Polly finally got her turn for a date with her dad.  Emma got a ski trip. Ryan got a fancy dinner. Polly chose Taco Bueno and a movie!!  She was so excited and loved her one on one time with her sweet dad!

Mavs Win Championship AGAIN!

They did it! They won it all!!!  I am so proud of my girls.  We played the championship game against a rough and dirty team and we came out on top.  The game went into DOUBLE OVERTIME SUDDEN DEATH! It was INTENSE! The each gave it their all and never gave up.  I was so incredibly proud of them!!!  Back to back champions!

Playoff WIN!

After staying up all night traveling home from Guatemala I made it in time to coach my Mavs in their first playoff game.  It was against a good team that we barely beat in regular season.  We won by 2 points in a nail biter!!  So proud of my girls and glad I flew overnight to be there! Worth it!
