Quarantine: Week 5

This week started the first week of virtual learning for the big girls. I was SO GLAD that we didn't have to mess with school the first few weeks at home.  AISD did it right and let us (and the teachers) adjust before rolling out this new program.  Week one had a little bit of a learning curve to get the hang of their technology, but the girls did well and most days it only took them about 1.5-2 hours to complete all of their work.  Emma is harder to motivate and to keep on task, but Ryan usually just knocks it out.  We tried to wake them up by 9:30-10 so that they could get their school work done before lunch so we could keep doing fun activities (bike rides, games, puzzles) in the afternoon/evenings. So far, so good!
A piece of Ryan's artwork she created for fun.

Polly showing off her new bath robe.

Spring has sprung and the baby geese have arrived.
I love watching them in the mornings while I have my coffee.

We received encouraging mail from Kylie and Alaina.

Emma wrote about the virus.

Emma's team showed up on the Super Copa website.
We are still hoping this happens in June.

Polly still works out with me while everyone else sleeps in.

Another puzzle completed!
This was the hardest one, yet.

Loving the free Peleton app for my runs.

Put makeup on for the first time for our "porch"traits.

We camped out in our backyard and it was so much fun!!!!  We got take out and watched Onward outside on the patio, then we roasted s'mores.  Ryan and Emma shared a tent and Polly was in a tent with us. Everyone slept great and we made it all night! So glad we did this. It was definitely a family memory we will not forget.

Ryan chose a brownie Sunday instead of s'mores.

Polly went right to sleep.

Clark slept right next to me outside the tent.

Sunrise!
