Back to (Virtual) School for the Big Girls

It was a different start to the school year for all of the girls.  This was the one year that all girls were going to be at the same school.  It was going to be so fun (and easy), but Covid changed that.  At least for the start of the school year. Hill Elementary and AISD decided to stick with full time virtual learning to start the 2020/21 school year.  Chris and I decided last minute to withdrawal Polly from Hill and enroll her back at Fielder for kindergarten.  I called and found out that Fielder was returning in person and we really think that is best for Polly.  Kindergarten is so important and I just couldn't imagine her spending all day at home in front of a computer.  Plus, Ryan and Emma require assistance and it is hard for one adult to manage three at home learners. So, Ryan and Emma started the "even" years (4th and 6th) virtually a week before Polly starts kinder and they will currently be at two different schools. We do not know how long virtual learning will be the only option for the big girls, and we plan to keep Polly at Fielder until in person at Hill is available.  Hopefully, at some point in this school year all the Ivie girls will be at in person school at the same location  We will just take it day to day until then.

Although Polly did not start on this day,
she still wanted a picture.

Sweet babysitter dropped off donut holes as a first day of school surprise.
