Bye bye crib, hello toddler bed!

Although Emma began climbing out of her crib a few weeks ago, she had not been doing it too often.  At least not at bedtime or in the middle of the night.  She had only been climbing out at the end of a nap, after whoever was going to get her entered her room.  For this reason we were putting off converting the crib to a toddler bed.  This changed a few nights ago.  Emma started climbing out of her crib at bedtime.  As soon as I would leave her room and head down the hallway I would hear her cry.  When I would open her door she would be sitting in her little rocker rocking Zeebee.  She had crawled out (using the little rocker to step down on) and then could not get back in.  She loves sleep, so this was very sad for her.  I think she liked the fact that she could climb out (quite quickly and very nimbly) but then when she realized that she actually did want to go to sleep she would sit defeated in her rocker and cry.  This pitiful routine went on about 3-4 times until she finally fell asleep.  This really only added about 5 minutes to the bedtime routine so we didn't change anything. Until 2 days ago.  Emma started doing this at nap time (minus the pitiful Zeebee rock).  Instead she went into Ryan's room to play or came running down the hallway yelling "hi guys!" We knew the cribs days were now numbered.  Then, yesterday happened.  See below.
Emma's room was clean before she was put down for a nap.
2.5 hours later she came out of her room and this is what it looked like.
She must have napped some (we think/hope) because it was quiet.
As you can see, she did not nap the entire time!
Unfortunately we cannot find our crib to toddler bed converter set.
Chris thinks we never got it because I bought the floor model and we never
used it for Ryan.  I think we lost it in the move.  Either way, we don't have it.
So, for the meantime Emma is sleeping on her mattress on the floor.
At least this way she can lay back down after playing.
Last night she went right to sleep and stayed there all night.
I snuck into her room at 8:45a.m.- to make sure she was still in it!
This is how she looked.  Thankfully, her Daddy put a pillow next to the mattress!

Emma at 9:00 a.m. - still snoozing!
She is so long!
The Ivie household officially has ZERO cribs in it!  It has been 3.5 years since this was the case! I can't believe Emma didn't even make it two years! Actually, I can totally believe it.  It's Emma!
