GOAL!

Emma got invited to start practicing with the U6 Legends team and to play with them in their regular league games. Her soccer career has taken a step up! Today marks her sixth day in a row to either practice or play in a game. Pretty hard core for a 4 year old. The cool thing is, she hasn't complained once. She loves it! Last night she practiced with the older team from 7:30pm to 9 and tonight they had a game. They played an all boys team and Emma got to play quite a bit. I can really tell that she is starting to pick up more about the game. She is starting to understand the different positions and learning how to pass and play well with her teammates. Tonight she scored her first goal since moving up with the older girls! She was so proud. She also got knocked to the ground twice, head butted in the nose and took a hard ball to the face and never cried or asked to come out. She is so tough and really starting to get competitive. Her team whooped the boys - they won by 10 goals. The girls that Emma is playing with are phenomenal.  I am so proud of her and so thankful that we found this awesome league. Legends and Coach Jay are giving her a priceless learning experience and she is loving it. So am I!
